It is possible to run the SonicWALL firmware on my webramp 700?

Can my Webramp 700s be upgraded to support VPN or more users?

I have a WebRamp 700S with Firewall and I am having a problem with the firewall where it does not come on and the test light stays lit. Please suggest what I need to do to get it functional.

After I intalled the upgrade I ordered, I have to enable the VPN function through the web interface right? Should I update Sonicwall firmware first or should I keep the WebRamp firmware to use the VPN? Then how do I register VPN function?

I cannot get into my device via the browser. Can I reset all settings via the removal of the EPROM?

Can you use the standard VPN connection that comes with Windows 2000/XP to make a connection to a Webramp 700s? I want to connect two offices using 700s with the VPN option, but I also want other remote users to connect to the main office using a VPN connection on their laptops. Thanks

Can you use the Web-Filter or Anti-Virus features of the Webramp if you purchase them from SonicWALL?

What is this "chip upgrade" that is talked about in the third question of the FAQ page?

Can someone with a 700s upgrade to the latest firmware for a SonicWALL SOHO or is 5.1.7 the highest version possible?

We are hosting our own e-mail server and Web servers. Why can't I access the servers from my LAN?

I had to reset the Webramp 700 to factory settings. When I entered the registration code, only five ip users are allowed on the LAN. The system is (was) unlimited LAN and VPN users. How do I get these settings corrected?

Recently purchase a 700s with unlimted LAN and VPN connections. I can see the unlimited LAn listed in the management browser, how can you determine the number of VPN licenses? Also, how can you register to use the Sonicwall VPN software...there was not a registration card in the box. Thanks

I am very inteterested in the WebRamp 700s for my home for one reason, creating a VPN tunnel to our Sonicwall Pro VX at the office. Is it possible to create the VPN tunnel using the WebRamp 700s you sell?? I imagine it would be? If so is it possible to create the VPN tunnel to the standard GroupVPN SA that the SonicWall Pro VX has configured in it. There are no unique settings. It is what SonicWall has set up by default. Thank you for your looking at this question. If it is possible I will surely by one from you because all the other home Firewalls (NetGear, Linksys, and Netopia) I have tried have not been able to make a VPN connection to the Pro VX!:)

I just began supporting a customer that has a Webramp 700s vut doesn't have the password to log into it. Is their a way to reset the password without restting the rest of the configuration. We had to change ISP's and need to change the external IP Addresses on the VPN configuration. HELP !!!!!

After a hard reset with the erase switch i am unable to get the web interface to load. i've given my pc a static ip and nothing loads in the browser. When I first received the webramp I upgraded to the sonicwall firmware. The instructions for the sonicwall give a different ip to try for the web interface. I have tried the default ip for both firmware versions. Any help is appreciated.

I have a webramp 700s purchased about a month ago. I have read your facts page and having a problem you mentioned. I have a web server inside of my firewall. There isn't any DMZ setting on the 700s. You suggested on the web to add a hosts file in my windows directory. Could you give me an example of what it should look like. My local lan address for the webserver is 10.3.213.235, my gateway (700s) is 10.3.213.250 and finally my cisco t1 router is xx.xx.xxx.xxx. My clients can get out to the internet, I just can't get someone from the internet to hit my webserver. Thanks for the example hosts file!

I have a webramp 700s purchased about a month ago. I have it setup after a Cisco router xx.xx.xxx.xxx, I would like to have remote computers connect to my lan via VPN. Right now I have NAT on because if I turn it to STANDARD, the 700s automatically sets the WAN port of my 700s to a public address instead of a local lan ip address and I can't change it. Any direction would greatly be appreciated!!!

I am wondering, if it is possible to use Windows 2000 Remote Access PPTP (VPN Feature) on a server behind the WEBRAMP Firewall.

I purchased the upgrade chip from you, and upgraded my firmware to 5.1.7.0. Everything works now, except I cannot access the web interface from my linux box running Mozilla. I get the login screen, and type my name and password correctly, and it just keeps kicking me back to the login screen, not allowing me access. Whenever I check my log from a windows pc, it shows these as an incorrect user/password error. I am pretty sure that when I was running the old chip I was able to access the config from Mozilla on linux. Please help me if you can.

Does the older SonicWall firmware support 'Standard' mode with the WebRamp700s? I have enought public IPs and don't really want to use NAT. Thanks for the great support!

Is it possible to set up a site to site VPN between (2) Ramp 700's with 25 user VPN certs? Also, can you do it if both sites have ADSL with Dynamic IP's, (one with PPPoE the other with DHCP)? I don't see how the units could be pointed at the other sites w/o having a fixed IP to point at, but I'm not sure. Great site by the way, huge help!!

After I setup webramp 700.I could access the internet after setup of the router. After 10hr the webramp wouldn't let me access the internet. I could ping the router and could ping another site out on the internet via the router or the PC. I restarted the webramp and PC still couldn't access the internet via ie. Do i need to make changes to the webramp?

Does the Webramp (with or without the Sonicwall firmware) support PPOE or changing the WAN Mac Address?

I know I can't use the filter list service, but is there a way to turn on filtering on keywords and forbidden domains?

I can't seem to get my PLCC extraction tool to work properly. What am I doing wrong?
